You as the Candidate

A meeting with a JRD Media Consultant will tend to last longer than the traditional ‘agency’ interview and generally take place in an informal setting. We see a meeting as just that, a meeting. There are certainly no forms to fill in and, although there will be certain key topics to cover, the conversation usually flows rather smoothly rather than simply a Q & A session. It is an opportunity to ask you about your experience and for you to tell us of your hopes and dreams for the next stage of your career.

Job briefings

You will be fully briefed on each role, covering key areas such as the main responsibilities, the key figures within the company and department, the culture of the company and the ambitions of the Board of Directors and/or Head of Department.

You will be kept informed of each and every step of the recruitment process including the likely timetable of events. JRD Media views your representation just as important as the Client’s and we endeavour to manage the relationship in equal fashion.

Service Approach

What you can expect from JRD Media

We act professionally, honestly and responsibly throughout the process. One of the appealing aspects that Candidates have found is that we operate in a non-targeted environment so there is never any pressure, either financially or operationally, to compromise delivering a first class service.

We are very mindful of the fact that within the media industry many people have working relationships with personnel of different organisations and so we recognise the need for absolute discretion at every step of the way. We do not ‘market’ candidates as a rule, even in the guise of short profiles, and your CV will never be introduced to a client without your express permission.

A significant proportion of the candidates JRD Media represents come through professional recommendations and we have established an unimpeachable reputation for confidentiality. It is a facet of recruitment that we hold dear and will continue to do so.

What JRD Media expects from you

Transparency is the key here, delivered through constant feedback once the recruitment process is underway. We will do our utmost to give you feedback after each CV introduction and each interview and we expect you to do the same after each job briefing and each interview.

Please keep us informed of other developments which may have an effect on the recruitment process, such as your interest in roles with other companies or internal reorganisations. You do not have to be specific and it does not follow that we will pass this information onto the client as you may wish to keep it confidential but it does help us to manage the dialogue between you and the client
